Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability are core Brennan Law Group values. Whether Katie is representing clients who fight climate change, leading the creation of a local government Diversity, Equity and Inclusion advisory group, or composting and recycling our own firm’s waste, she believes it is our responsibility to provide a better future for people and our planet. Good practices and education, and sometimes getting into “good trouble” will help us get there.

Katie lobbied for the creation of a Sustainability Commission in her hometown, and once successful, was appointed as it’s first Chair. As an elected Village Trustee, she has championed environmental and equity initiatives, and was instrumental in creating an Advisory Group to study equity and inclusion issues in her community. Katie also was a founding member of the newly created International Trademark Association “Brands for a Better Society” Committee. She will continue to prioritize and practice corporate social responsibility every day, through her mentoring efforts at Chicago’s 1871 Business Incubator, community service as an elected Village of River Forest Trustee, philanthropy, and by adopting a “life cycle perspective” to all purchases.
